This site is owned by the Emerging Managers Association (“EMA”) (""). advocates on behalf of under represented, alternative-asset managers with AUM less than $1 billion; further, we collaborate to improve industry practices and public policies for free market economies.  This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding collection and use of personal information, including information collected from registered users or other visitors to via website or mobile services.

This Privacy Policy governs EMA’s data practices applicable to the limited personal information that may be provided by members to EMA, as well as information that may be collected from registered users or other visitors to EMA’s Website or mobile services.   EMA’s Website and mobile services are intended for a US audience and are governed under the laws of the United States. Do not use our Website or mobile services if you do not agree to the transfer and processing of your personal information by EMA in the United States.

This policy does not apply to the practices of third party companies that EMA does not own or control, to third party websites (even if linked to the Website), or to individuals that EMA does not employ or manage.  The Website may contain links to other sites.  EMA is not responsible for the data practices or privacy policies on these third party sites.

Personal Information: We may collect personal information (i.e. name, address, telephone number, email) as provided voluntarily to us, such as when you request our newsletter, submit a Press Inquiry or Contact Us form, process payments for dues or conferences, or as provided by Members in the Member section of our site. Other than contact information to communicate with our members or otherwise respond to their requests, and payment information to process dues, fees, or donations, EMA does not collect personal information.   Our website may also provide you certain interactive features to allow you to post content to other members, or to share information publicly. Please do not disclose sensitive personal information, including nonpublic financial information, about yourself or any investors or other clients of your organization.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information and Tracking Technologies: We, and/or our third party service providers, may collect information from your use of our site or online services, including technical information about your interaction with our site. This may include the time and date of your visit, your IP address, referral URLs (or the website you came from when you visit our site), operating systems and browser types, and other information gathered through the use of cookies or other similar technologies. EMA endeavors to protect sensitive information in its possession, and uses technical safeguards to help protect your information. However, EMA cannot guarantee the security of personal information. You should help to prevent unauthorized access to your account by selecting and protecting your password appropriately and limiting access to your computer and browser by signing off after you have finished accessing your account.

We use your information to communicate with our members about EMA activities.  You may sign up for the EMA newsletter on our homepage.  If, at any time, you would like to unsubscribe from our mailing lists, you may email us at or follow the instructions to unsubscribe at the bottom of our emails.

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will also revise the “last updated” date at the top of this policy. We will not make any materially different use of collected information without notifying site visitors. Use of our site after updates are posted and effective constitutes acceptance of any changes
